Howdy!
My name’s Art and I, no surprises here, do freelance copywriting.
I started Copywriting Is Art because I believed, and still do, that I could bring something different to the table. Namely, use words to help businesses make themselves impossible to ignore.
Creating content that’s “readable” isn’t enough for me.
Great web copy needs to be inherently shareable AND drive sales. If you’re on some freelance copywriting website and you’re not confident they’re up to that task, you should turn and run.
Who am I?
I’m an ’80s baby, a movie buff and I love long walks on the beach. But hey, this isn’t a dating profile. So let’s get to business.
I’ve been doing freelance creative copywriting since 2014 with clients in the UK, US and Canada. Before that, I worked in several full-time marketing and copywriting roles.
My freelance copywriting career has included things like:
- Rewriting entire business websites
- Ghostwriting on behalf of CEOs
- Creating microcopy for social media accounts
- Editing and cleaning up content by other bloggers/copywriters
I spent most of my twenties working with small businesses, so I’ve got a startup mentality. That means I’m comfortable turning work around quickly – no red tape, no unnecessary rain delays.
How can my freelance copywriting help you?
What’s cool today is yesterday’s news tomorrow.
Or, in the case of the web, after about 45 minutes.
As a freelance copywriter, the hardest (but most rewarding) thing I do is create content that walks a line between feeling fresh and being timeless. But the time to update always comes eventually.
When it does, you call me again. Without the need for me to take up any space in the office…or on the payroll, in the meantime.
Using freelance copywriting gives you flexibility that hiring someone full-time, or shelling out for an expensive agency, doesn’t. What it doesn’t do is rule out anything more long-term.
Take the client that I started working with one September, for example. With my help, and the killer new service we worked on, they quadrupled their monthly revenue over 9 months.
Experience tells me that, if you’re doing the freelance copywriting website trawl, you probably have questions in your mind right now. For the answers to them, and hopefully more, I strongly suggest checking out my copywriting FAQ.
